On the all-new KX™250X motorcycle, an aligned intake and new, centrally-positioned, straight exhaust port deliver higher airflow efficiency, strong overrun, and smooth, low-rpm torque for improved power when you need it most—when riding at low-end speeds, up hills, or under loads.
Complementing the new engine’s higher airflow efficiency, the intake camshaft is 10mm higher and the exhaust valve angle is 1-degree narrower, both updates providing better performance at low rpm. The cylinder is offset 3mm forward and inclined by 5 degrees to suit the new exhaust/intake layout. Increased low-end torque pairs with more linear throttle control for smoother acceleration and optimum traction.
A new, single-shaft primary engine balancer contributes to smoother power delivery and reduced vibration, improving throttle control, especially when exiting especially tight corners.

The all-new KX™250X motorcycle is built for cross-country domination. The anatomy of this powerful engine includes finger-follower valve actuation, a downdraft-style intake, and dual injectors. It’s our most competitive racing package to date.
One of Kawasaki’s flagship technologies, RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX™, is now available on the KX™250X motorcycle. With this game-changing tech, riders can calibrate engine mapping, monitor engine telemetry, track maintenance schedules, and more.
The new KX™250X motorcycle features Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) at the push of a button. Using the Traction (T) button on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily select from 2 levels (Weak, Strong) of control to suit conditions and preference. Riders may also elect to turn the system off.
Using the Mode (M) button on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily switch between 2 engine maps (Normal and Aggressive) provided in the ECU.
A factory-style launch control system helps put the KX™250X motorcycle’s power to the ground for maximum acceleration. By pushing the Mode and Traction buttons simultaneously, you activate the launch control system, giving you an efficient race start in low-traction conditions. The holeshot is yours for the taking.

In today’s ultra-competitive cross-country landscape, success at the highest level is aided through advanced tech. The all-new KX™250X motorcycle is now equipped with smartphone connectivity and electronic controls sourced directly from Kawasaki factory racing efforts, placing all-new functionality at your fingertips.
A new, lightweight aluminum perimeter frame delivers lighter, nimbler handling and stability. Revised rigidity balance offers improved front-end feel for better cornering performance across a wide range of conditions.
The KX™250X motorcycle meets the tough demands of off-road racing. Cross-country wheels (front 21-in/rear 18-in) pair with rugged Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires, giving riders a raceday advantage.
A high-performance Showa 49mm, inverted coil-spring fork handles suspension duties up front. Its large-diameter inner tubes and large, 25mm damping pistons deliver smooth action and firm damping. New Uni-Trak® rear suspension with spring rates and damping settings optimized for challenging trails provides more feedback, enhancing comfort and control.
The KX™250X motorcycle comes with convenient features—like a side stand handy when stopping away from the paddock area, and a lightweight, ERVT sealed chain suitable for long races. A 12 V bullet terminal is compatible with a huge range of aftermarket accessories.

Features like an all-new, lightweight perimeter frame, updated Showa 49mm coil-spring fork, and Uni-Trak® rear suspension sharpen handling performance on every section of the course and make this championship-caliber bike a force to be reckoned with.

With ERGO-FIT® adjustability, riders can choose from 4 different handlebar positions and 2 footpeg positions to suit body size and preference.
New, medium-compound ODI lock-on grips offer excellent grip feel, while their screw-type fastening system makes swapping grips easier.
The KX™250X motorcycle receives redesigned bodywork and a smoother rider interface. Newly designed shrouds, side covers, and rear fender are firmer to eliminate hooking points.
The new left-side cover can be removed without tools for easier access to the new dome-shaped air filter. The air filter is now secured with quick-release hooks for quick and simple changing.
